gRAINGER huB:
fULL bUILDING rEBRAND

There’s nothing like a blank canvas to get our creative ideas popping! We took it from white walls to a cohesive space with branding that flows through the entire premises.

Maybrook House had rebranded its coworking environment in Newcastle’s city centre, to become “Grainger Hub”. With the new name, came the need for a new identity. They wanted this to be reflected throughout the building with eye-catching graphics, but without taking over the space.

Our Mission: create a strong and consistent brand presence across multiple floors while providing a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere for everyone from freelancers to established businesses.

After our successful collaboration for the Floe coworking space, the team at Grainger Hub came back to us for their next project.

They tasked us with the job that would require graphics for walls, windows, and even social media POS. This would be a cohesive environmental signage scheme throughout the building, that would not only connect their clients to the space but also connect them to Newcastle.

They provided us with their updated logo and colour palette then trusted us to expand from there. With the logo and their preferred colour palette as a base, we were able to create designs and guidelines that would work across multiple spaces within the building.

We developed a range of branded applications designed to give the space a consistent and recognisable identity which modernises the building and provides a professional look that enhances the tenant experience.

As with all our workspace jobs, our first action was to meet up with the client and visit the site. We do a walkthrough to photograph the spaces and take accurate measurements, while having a chance to discuss the clients’ vision for the artwork. This was especially crucial for Grainger Hub, as we were starting with just their logo and colour scheme.

One of the standout features was the event space. This was a large area that Grainger Hub wanted to utilise to encourage engagement with their clients and create a more dynamic community environment. This gave us the inspiration to create interactive signage including Instagram selfie boards and QR-coded graphics.

But wait, there’s more! We fully integrated signage and graphics across the site. This included exterior and interior door graphics, wall wraps, and window decals. Every element was designed to create seamless branding throughout the building.

We take clients’ trust seriously and the key to bringing Grainger Hub’s brand to life was for us to focus on their mission: to be flexible, collaborative, and community led.

To do that, we combined a welcoming visual identity with professionalism and fun interaction. The new designs were added on a variety of surfaces and environments to ensure consistency without overwhelming the space.

By incorporating interactive features within communal areas, we helped transform the hub into an engaging and connected environment that reflects the energy of the businesses within it.
